The 2008 Blue Thunder Blowout tournament schedule has been finalized. Below are all the game times and matchups. We did our best to comply with any requests that were made, especially those that were made upon entry to the tournament. The format will be 4 pools that consist of 4 teams each.  The top team from each pool will advance on to the semi-finals on Sunday. The Championship game will follow. Please do not request to have any game times changed at this point as the schedule has been finalized.  We are waiting on two insurance forms, one registration fee, and one registration form.  Until these are received, we reserve the right to make changes to the schedule as deemed necessary.

The events at 12:30 on Saturday will consist of a Home Run Derby, Fast Feet Speed Competition, and Around-the-Horn Throwing Competition. Each team will nominate one player to be in the Home Run Derby, five players to be in the Fast Feet Speed Competition, and five players to be in the Around-the-Horn Throwing Competition.

Home Run Derby:

Each team will elect ONE player to participate in the home run derby.  Each player will elect a coach from HIS TEAM to pitch during his at-bat.

Fast Feet Speed Competition:

Each team will elect FIVE players to participate in the competition. Each player will take a turn running the bases in a relay race format. The team with the fastest time wins.

Around-the-Horn Throwing Competition:

Each team will elect FIVE players (P,C,1B,2B,3B) to participate in the competition. The ball will start in the pitcher's hands.  He will initiate the drill by throwing to the catcher, who will throw to first, first to second, second to third, third back to home.  The team with the fastest time wins.
